Liz McGrath - Illustration & Design

Liz has created and painted a number of murals for community venues.

In 2015 Liz was commissioned to create a mural for the Toy Library at the Boorai Children's Centre in Ocean Grove. The imagery reflects the joy of play, and reflects the unique local coastal environment. The mural was painted onto ply wood panels that were attached to the high curved walls of the library.

In 2014 Liz worked as an artist mentor for a young artist  with a disability through the Athena’s Guild Project in 2014. Afterwards, Liz was commissioned by the City of Geelong  to reproduce some of the imagery created by her mentored artist onto a Traffic Control Box at a busy intersection. The box was located at the corner of Ormond Rd and McKillop St in East Geelong, and the artwork featured was titled Natasha's dancers.

The following murals are displayed in the junior eating area of the playground of a coastal school at Barwon Heads Primary School. They focus on the school's house colours and with blackboard paint to invite interaction, and depict themes of food and nature. They were painted on marine ply, are about 1.5 metres wide and were completed in 2014.

This mural celebrated children's friendships and was painted in 2007 on cement board attached to an old brick sandpit wall at Regent Baptist Kindergarten in Reservoir, Melbourne. It is more than 2 metres wide.
